Capturing the spirit of a Notting Hill Carnival after party, the new Paul Smith spring/summer ’17 campaign film is an energetic celebration of London and the power of positivity.

“As a teenager in the ’60s I’d travel from Nottingham to London most weekends, crashing on the floor of a mate’s flat in Powis Terrace, Notting Hill. It was an amazingly energetic time to be in West London – there was bright colour everywhere you looked and all these influences from all over the world.”

Having called West London his home since the 1970s Paul’s experiences, past and present, feed into this new collection.

West Indian warmth flows from familiar colour combinations of yellow, green and red, which come together to create a series of stripes and a new tropical tartan.

Signature Paul Smith tailoring is cut from highly breathable Italian wool, while super-lightweight construction makes looking sharp feel effortless.

For women, hand-drawn floral prints and embroidery add an elegant edge to classic tailoring, and sporty stripes on trouser legs add a more contemporary feel.
