Cleverly Done

This month, George Cleverley’s bespoke choice is this beautiful single monk shoe featuring a Cleverley imitation wing cap design, hand punched on a single piece of leather forming the forepart of the shoe. This allows the shoe to bear a classic full brogue look while being much lighter on the foot – with no superposition of leather – and on the eye. To make the shoe even more discreet, the client specially requested that the buckle be fully wrapped in leather.

This month also saw Chairman, George Glasgow Snr & CEO, George Glasgow Jr, attend the legendary Vanity Fair Oscars Party in Los Angeles. This year the event was held in Beverly Hills at the Wallis Annenberg Centre connected to City Hall, and was hosted by Vanity Fair’s editor, Graydon Carter. Several pairs of Cleverley were in evidence amongst guests at the party.
