137 years after Antonio Fluxà founded an outstanding shoe workshop in Inca (Majorca), the fourth generation of the family is restoring the Cartujano brand, reinforcing its commitment and vocation to the manufacture of luxury leather goods in Spain.

The Cartujano brand represents luxury based on quality and authenticity. Leathers selected from the best and most prestigious tanneries in Europe and the expert contribution of the workshops in Inca, Elda and Ubrique give life to a collection of boots, shoes, bags and accessories, all with very original character.

Cartujano, a breed of Spanish horse kept by Carthusian monks in Jerez in the 15th century, inspires and lends its name to the brand.

The “Heritage” collection gathers together designs from the countryside and the equestrian world. Its maximum expression is the Cartujano boot, made in Majorca using the Goodyear welted method – a triple-stitch construction – a traditional process involving more than two hundred tasks that make it highly durable, while easily maintained. The “Contemporary” collection offers modern yet current designs.

Lorenzo Fluxà (4th generation) directs the project, together with a small and expert team: “For us, Cartujano is homage to Spanish culture, and a tribute to the artisans that maintain the passion for this age-old trade, generation after generation.”
