Two fragrances by Ormonde Jayne – Kashmir and Bukhara from La Route de la Soie Collection, have recently been nominated for the Reader’s Choice Award by The Fragrance Foundation-UK.
Kashmir £175 for 88ml
4000 metres above sea level, with its snowy glaciers and pristine lakes, rivers gush through deep Himalayan valleys, densely forested with majestic towering Deodar trees. At this high altitude, the Valley of Kashmir presents a uniquely breath-taking terrain. Home to a diverse array of plants, meadows are blanketed with wild, rare blue poppies and Kashmiri saffron each summer.
Kashmir by Ormonde Jayne is not without considerable allure. The emphasis of this woody hypnotic scent is Deodar, from the cedar wood family and a soft dreamy sandalwood, underscored with iris, rose, jasmine, cashmeran, vanilla and a caress of musk to fix this pervasive perfume.
Bukhara £175 for 88ml
Bukhara, from the Route de la Soie collection, embodies a sense of lavish refinement.
Succulent peach and blackcurrant open this fragrance, conjuring images of a tantalising oasis. At its heart, Bukhara exudes an entrancing bouquet of tuberose, jasmine absolute, and orange blossom, evoking a graceful appeal. The dry down unfurls with a sensuous base of sandalwood, cedarwood, vanilla, and Oudh, enveloping the wearer in a warm embrace.
Bukhara is an exquisite and indulgent scent, exceptionally good for those who desire the ultimate in life’s experiences.
The Fragrance Foundation-UK awards ceremony takes place on Thursday May 8th – good luck to Linda and her team.
